About our team

Jean (John) St-Onge, President

12 years experience in the stone business. He has travelled the world to discover rare stones in various quarries. He was President of a well-known International Stone Group for many years before founding ICON STONE & TILE.

Only one word can describe the personage, his motivation, his creation, his life: PASSION; Passion for design, passion for trends, passion for perfection, materials and textures. Since 1994, Jean St-Onge has cultivated a passion for stone by providing what each clients value the most. After getting his Business degree from Laval University in Canada, he started out as a Marketing Manager for a worldwide well-established natural stone trader. For 7 years, he travelled extensively to Italy, China, India, South Africa, Turkey, Brazil, etc…searching the worldwide quarries to bring the very latest in products and rare natural stones. He then joined a 65 millions/year billing cie, as President of the tile and slab subsidiaries for another 5 years before founding his own fabrication shop: ICON STONE & TILE. All the verve and enthusiasm that emanates from this entrepreneur gives ICON STONE & TILE a very personal dimension and as a result, a very original enterprise.

Raphael Soligo, V.P.

His Italian roots are tangible, and good taste emanates from the collections he carefully selects worldwide and imports. Raphael along with his sister Sylvia and brother David run 2 renowned design centers in Montreal city & Quebec City. His dad Joseph Soligo started out the business back in 1970 and it never stopped growing, providing customers with a wider selection of distinctive tiles, decoratives, faucets, sinks, bathtubs, showers.

Jacques Lambert, V.P.

Jacques is an entrepreneur and businessman implied in many corporations for which he provides precious councils and mentoria from his long time and diversified business experiences. Jacques is always looking out to seize new opportunities of promising businesses. He is now pleased and excited to be part of the Calgary economic development. He is very enthusiastic about ICON’s offer and particularly proud of ICON’s showroom layout and design

Mathieu (Matt) St-Onge, Technical Manager

Matt is our engineering wizard. His professional experiences encompass a wide range of technical specialties and know-how. He is perfectionist, meticulous and dedicated to deliver the best and only the best. He is the one who checks accurately each project with the original specifications for top precision. Matt quality control concern is serious and unsurpassed.

Nattalia Lea, D.I.D., Sales & Design Associate

Graduate of interior design, Mount Royal College

Nattalia has numerous years of design experience, consulting for both residential & commercial projects. Since 1996, she has been acting on the Calgary design scene as an Architectural design representative for major tile & natural stone distributors. She is best known for the attentive customer service she gives and her understanding of what people really want.

Our other executives, project managers, and craftsmen are all experts in their fields.
